This is the Linnstudio proposal for the collection of ideas arranged by Göteborg 2021 to the four hundreth anniversary of Göteborg.
It consists of a walking path straight across Frihamnen, giving immediate access to the area while the extensive RiverCity plans take shape. Light bridges cross the large harbour basins, and an existing warehouse building is turned into a café and a restaurant. A small vessel brings people and bicycles across the river.
Without much rebuilding Frihamnen is turned into an integrating attraction for central Göteborg.
Linnstudio is involved in architecture and urban planning.
Driven by curiosity and a will to improve, the working method is based on engagement, knowledge and dialogue. The aim is inspiring spaces with rational and sustainable solutions of high quality, developed in co-operation with the client. The practice is run by Erik Linn, architect SAR/MSA.
